Mar Azul

The Mar Azul Collection reminds me of the energy of the ocean and is my way to bring it to the clay. 

Every piece in the Medusa collection is hand-built using the coiling technique and hand-carved, one by one, with intentional, organic curves inspired by the natural movement of the ocean. I build each piece coil by coil, then sculpt varying depths directly into the clay, allowing the rich cobalt blue glaze to pool within the carved textures.

As the glaze moves through each curve and crevice, it creates a striking, translucent gradient, revealing shifting layers of blue that feel almost like looking into the depth of the ocean, captured in ceramic form.
