El Torno Taller de Cerámica

I discovered ceramics in Buenos Aires, where I lived for ten years. When I decided to return to Mexico, I already knew that I wanted to dedicate myself fully to ceramics. The only thing on my mind was opening my own studio and continuing along that path. That is how I founded El Torno Taller de Cerámica.

The studio is my personal workspace, but every Wednesday it also opens its doors to regular members who come to work on their own ceramic projects. Over time, these Wednesdays have grown into a beautiful community of ceramicists who share the space, exchange ideas, and enjoy the process of working with clay alongside one another.

The rest of the week, you will usually find me working on my own—at the wheel, building pieces on the worktable, or developing ideas at my desk. The studio is constantly filled with work in progress: commissioned pieces, vases that emerge from inspiration, and experiments with new forms, textures, and surfaces.

For me, the studio is both a space for my individual practice and a place where a community of ceramicists has naturally grown around the shared experience of making.
